Hi Alene,

I'm glad the pain is less intense, though I know you have to get to an easier place painwise. I'm so glad you liked your PT and the office. I hope today went OK.

I've always wanted to participate in NaNoWriMo, but I've gotten bored of novels I wanted to write. I think I'm more of a short essay writer, more of a non-fiction writer. But one never knows. I love your application of such a month to painting! Very clever.

The video really reveals the major textures in your large painting. Nicely done! I can't imagine doing such a large painting; I just thought I took a huge step doing a 20 by 24! I do see a story in this piece of art. I think -- and I know art is subject to interpretation - that this painting is about life's ups and downs. We see the figure falling and then climbing, and there are ladders. Overall, it feels like a positive painting celebrating the fact that life is not linear.

Hoping you are in less pain soon.

Thanks, Beth. The farmers market was a good one, not sales-wise but very good exposure-wise. I had several people express serious interest in two of my bigger paintings- Gust and Fog Lifting. And a lot of people liked the new 10 x 20 with the gold leaves too. November sales are usually slow the first few markets, but as Thanksgiving approaches people begin to buy things. I’m not worried if sales are slow for a few weeks. I have a good feeling that this will pay off later.

Sunday morning I woke up with very sore glutes and hips but no nerve pain! Which is amazing. I have a market this afternoon for five hours so we’ll see how the day unfolds, but to wake up without pain shooting down my leg is awesome. I’ll take it, even if it’s just a break for a few hours.

You are right about the story in the painting about life’s struggles, though there is additional history in it that I will share later. I hope with my changes to the painting that I can convey it even better.

Have a great Sunday and I’ll post again soon.l look forward to catching up with your posts!
