The relief of solstice

My play painting. Playing with techniques, colors, contrasts, and materials. But the big difference is not *in* the painting itself.

Happy winter solstice! Tonight at 8:27 pm is the official moment, less than 2 hours away as I write this. It was 60 degrees here today and sunny. I could have worn shorts walking the girls.
