Insights from the Third Pass

Building up layers and breaking them down

Third Pass, painting I started in April. Starting to add abstraction with blocks of color and glazing, removing some elements, and trying some different shapes.

Every painting goes through an ugly phase, some grow out of it as the canvas gets reworked a dozen or more times, some never emerge, but every one is a learning experience. Sort of like growth as a human being.
